Privacy Policy

Knod, Inc. operates knod.ai and is responsible for the information described here. For anything in this policy, including a request to see or delete your data, write to [email protected].

This policy covers the knod.ai website: the pages you read and the forms you fill in.

It does not cover what happens inside a Knod-powered event. If you attend an event that uses Knod, the organizer decides what is collected and why, and that is governed by the agreement between Knod and that organizer. If you are unsure which applies to you, ask us and we will tell you plainly.

Only what you type. There are three forms on this website, and these are the complete lists of what each one records.

Nothing on this site asks for a password, a payment card, or a government identifier, and none of those are ever collected here.

Our host, Cloudflare, records the ordinary technical information any web server needs in order to answer a request and to stay online: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the time. This is used to serve the site, keep it fast, and defend it against attacks. It is not used to build a profile of you.

This website sets no cookies of its own. There are no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no third-party marketing pixels on knod.ai.

We would like to know how many people visit knod.ai and which pages they find useful.

As of the effective date above, no analytics service runs on this website. When one does, we will name it here before it goes live, and we will prefer a service that does not use cookies and does not track people across other websites.

We do not sell personal information, we do not rent it, and we do not trade it. We use a small number of service providers to run the site, and these are all of them.

• Cloudflare hosts and serves knod.ai, so it handles every request you make to the site.
• Supabase stores what you submit through the three forms above.
• Google Fonts serves the typeface the site is set in. Your browser requests it from Google, which means Google can see your IP address when a page loads.
• Pexels serves some of the photography. Your browser requests those images directly, which means Pexels can see your IP address when a page loads.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of people using our site. If that ever happens we will tell you unless we are legally prevented from doing so.

Pages on this site link out to other places, including social networks and a published research paper. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's website, under their policy, not ours.

Our providers store data in the United States. If you are writing to us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred there. By sending us an enquiry you are asking us to reply, and that reply requires the transfer.

We keep what you send us for as long as we are in conversation with you and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we remember the context if you come back. If you ask us to delete it, we delete it. We do not need to keep an enquiry forever and we do not try to.

The site is served over HTTPS. The tables behind our forms are configured to accept new submissions and nothing else: the key that ships in the website can write an enquiry but cannot read, change, or delete anything, including its own submission. Reading enquiries requires separate credentials that never leave our team.

No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise. If something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

You can ask us to do any of the following, and we will not charge you for it.

• Tell you what we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete it
• Send you a copy in a portable format
• Stop using it, or object to a particular use

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, these are your rights under the UK GDPR and the GDPR, and you may also complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect, to have it deleted, and not to be treated differently for asking. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law.

This website is meant for adults doing professional work. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to [email protected] and we will remove it.

When this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it. If a change materially affects what we collect or who receives it, we will say so clearly rather than quietly editing the page.
